Janice M. Glowcheski, 82, of Arcadia, passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2018, at Gundersen-Lutheran Health System in La Crosse.
Jan was born in Arcadia, the daughter of Thomas and Rose (Swietz) Kupietz. She attended the catholic school and graduated from Arcadia High School. Jan was employed as a bookkeeper with Pehler Brothers Trucking and also volunteered with bookkeeping at church. On October 22, 1960, she was united in marriage to Richard "Red" Glowcheski at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. Jan enjoyed bowling in her younger years, antiquing, cardinals, her plants and flowers and the occasional trip to the casino. Her passion, however, was abundantly evident in the love she showed for her cats and dogs. An animal lover through and through, Jan raised and cared for her pets as if they were her own children. She was a member of Holy Family Parish and a past president of the PCCW.
Jan is survived by her husband of 57 years, Richard "Red" of Arcadia; sisters-in-law, Donna Glowcheski of La Crosse, and Claudene Glowcheski of Rapid City, SD; 10 nieces and nephews; numerous great-nieces and nephews; and many beloved pets.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Virginia (August) Kulig; brothers-in-law, Frederick and Ronald Glowcheski; nephew, Michael Glowcheski; and a great-nephew, Ryan Kulig.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 29, 2018, at Holy Family Parish with Father Sebastian Kolodziejczyk officiating. Rosary will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Monday at church with visitation to follow from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, rural Arcadia.
