George Weisenberger

George Thomas Weisenberger, 73, of Arcadia, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at his home on Saturday, August 14, 2021.
George was born on March 12, 1948, to the late Ralph and Martha (Perkins) Weisenberger. George married Shirley Sonsalla on July 11, 1970, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Arcadia. He leaves behind a loving and devoted wife of 51 years. Together they raised three daughters: Sheila, Jenny and Mandy.
George and Shirley enjoyed working on their farm together along with their family. They earned many herd recognition awards and also the Soil and Water Conservation Award. George loved the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and hiking through the woods. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
George is survived by his wife, Shirley; three daughters: Sheila Weisenberger, Jenny (Alan) Gleiter; Mandy (Greg Thomas) Boland; six granddaughters: Katie, Sara, Lizzy, Bethany, Zoey, and Teagan; great-granddaughter: Aubrey; brother: John (Barbara) Weisenberger; sisters: Marge (Harvey) Arnold, Jeanette Goodman, Barb Rapp, Mary Kay (Nathan) Abts; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; mother-in-law, Bernadine Sonsalla; siblings: Joe Weisenberger, Ralph Weisenberger, Jr., Jim Weisenberger, Eileen Muench, and Phyllis Wolfe; and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial for George will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 19, 2021, at Holy Family Parish with Father Sebastian Kolodziejczyk officiating. Family and friends are invited for visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. prior to mass at church. Burial will be at a later date.
