Evelyn Losinski

Evelyn Pauline Losinski, 84, formerly of Arcadia, died on August 20, 2021. Evelyn was born in Arcadia on October 4, 1936, to Albert Sr. and Elsie (Wolfe) Tamke. She married James S. Losinski on September 3, 1955, and together they farmed in Eagle Valley until his death in 1985. Evelyn then moved to Arcadia and worked at Ashley Furniture Industries until her retirement in 2011.
She was a wonderful Mom, Grandma and Great-Grandma and truly enjoyed when her family came to visit. She was an awesome cook and loved to decorate her house at Christmas time. She loved her flowers and took great pride in keeping her house and yard looking neat and beautiful.
Evelyn is survived by her daughters: Janet (Robert) Poss of Winona, MN, and Carol (Mike) Wineski of Arcadia; son: Steve (Jennifer) Losinski of Fountain City; daughter-in-law: Barbara Losinski; 8 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 5 step-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James; sons: Michael and Jim; brother: Albert (Bonnie) Tamke; sister: Eileen (Richard) Stroinski; and granddaughter: Victoria.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 27, 2021, at Holy Family Parish with Father Sebastian Kolodziejczyk officiating. Family and friends are invited for visitation from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at church on Friday. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Township of Glencoe, Arcadia. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2021, beginning at 1 p.m. at Riverland Energy Community Room, Arcadia.
