Scott “Kat” Randall Matchey, 38, of Arcadia passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at his home.
Scott was born in Arcadia on August 23, 1982, to Randall and Marlene (Schmidtknecht) Matchey. He attended schools in Arcadia and went on to complete a Welding Program after graduation at Western Technical College. He was previously employed with CBI, where he helped to construct new water towers throughout the country, in which he took great pride in. When Kat wasn’t working, he loved to be out riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, hunting, tinkering with many different projects along with his slight obsession with extreme organization. He was a very fun-loving and outgoing person, who’s laugh always lit up the room and always had a blast with anyone he was around.
Scott is survived by his grandma, Bernice Matchey of Arcadia; sisters: Michelle Matchey of Winona and Kristie (Randy) Klonecki of Arcadia; nephew: Dalton (Allisha) Jeske of Altoona; niece: Kalie Klonecki of Arcadia; and many aunts, uncles, good friends and buddies.
He was preceded in death by his parents; paternal grandfather, Alphonse “Allie” Matchey; maternal grandparents: Elden and Leona Schmidtknecht; and step-nephew, Brad Klonecki.
Family and friends are invited for visitation from 3:30 to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, August 27, 2021 at the Wozney-Killiian Funeral Home, Arcadia. Burial will be held privately in Calvary Cemetery. To express condolences to his family online, please visit www.wozneykillianfh.com.
