Sandy May George, 55, of Arcadia, died suddenly from complications of cancer on Saturday, June 27th, 2026, surrounded by her family.
Sandy was born in Ely, MN on January 1st, 1971, to Russel and Sherry (McDonald) Frost. Her early life was in northern Minnesota until her family moved to the Durand area when she was 11. Sandy graduated from Durand High School and began working for Ashley Furniture Industries. While working at Ashley, Sandy met her future husband, Patrick George. Together they shared 5 children: Jenna, Jessa, Elizabeth, Zachary, and Nicolas. Sandy began bartending in the early 90’s for local Arcadia establishments, ultimately managing Up-Chuck's in the most recent years. Sandy loved socializing and sharing cold ones with friends and family. Sandy’s hobbies included shooting pool league, fishing, camping, and gardening. Sandy was always up for a good time while listening to good music, to which she would say, “TURN IT UP!” to all of her favorites.
Sandy is survived by her parents Russell and Sherry Frost of Maiden Rock; brother: Troy Frost of Maiden Rock: children: Jenna (Javier) Arauz of Hopkins, MN, Jessa (Hugo) Montalvo-George of Independence, Elizabeth (Matthew) Thomas of Ettrick, Zachary (Jennifer) George of Trempealeau, and Nicholas (Jonathan) George of Arcadia; 12 grandchildren with one on the way; many nieces and nephews; her last love: Brian Konkel of Mondovi; and special pets, her dogs: Mr. Big and Lola.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents and husband, Patrick.
