Ruby I. Thomas, 92, of Arcadia died on Wednesday December 9, 2015, at Pigeon Falls Healthcare Center in Pigeon Falls, WI. Ruby was born on May 19, 1923, in Bethlehem,
Blair, WI, to Theodore E. and Lillian (Boleng) Hanson.
Ruby married Roman Thomas on November 12, 1940, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Arcadia. Ruby was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and the W-ELCA. She enjoyed playing canasta, any card games, doing crossword puzzles, and most of all she was an avid reader. Ruby's family was the joy of her life- her daughter, son-in-law, 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Ruby is survived by her daughter: Joanne (Leslie) Foss of Blair; 7 grandchildren: Chad (Laura) Foss, Chris Foss, Brandon (April) Foss, Heather (Gary) Cummings, Jeremy (Amy) Foss,
Mandy (J.J.) Redemann, Kari (Luke) Kelsey; 11 great grandchildren: Kade, Kye, Kolden Foss, Harlow, Rylan Foss, Liza, Ava, Owen Cummings, Browyn, Beckham Foss, Katherine Ruby Kelsey; 1 brother: Vilas (Joan) Hanson of Arcadia; 2 sisters: Grace Cooper and Clarice Edenfield both of Kirkland, WA. She was preceded in death by her husband: Roman, son: Roger, 2 sisters: Marion Lyngen, Lillian Gunderson, 3 brothers: Earl, Dick and Gene Hanson.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 14, 2015, at 11:00 AM at Christ Lutheran Church with Rev. Peter Jonas officiating. Friends may call on Sunday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wozney-Killian Funeral Home and on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of services at the church. Burial will be in Glencoe Lutheran Cemetery, rural Arcadia.
