Rodney Flury Allemann, 84, of Town of Montana, passed away on Monday, February 3, 2025, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire surrounded by family and loved ones. He was born on May 23, 1940, to the late Emil and Sylvia (Flury) Allemann. He was a 1958 graduate of Arcadia High School who then started his career as a third generation dairy farmer getting a chance to work and tend to the farm he grew up on. He served honorably in Red Arrow Division of the Wisconsin National Guard at Fort Lewis, Washington. On September 4 th,1965, he married Roxanne Stevens at the Tamarack Lutheran Church in rural Arcadia. To this union two sons were born.
Rodney is survived by his wife of 59 years, Roxanne; two sons: Robert (special friend, Angela) of Dubuque, Iowa, and Richard (Vicki) of the Town of Montana; grandchildren: Andrew (Chloe), Paige (Braedon), and Brooke Allemann. He is also survived by two sisters: Dawn (Larry) Brotzman of La Crosse and Heidi (John) Rekow of Stoddard; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Rodney had a love and passion for farming. He ran the farm himself until May of 1996 when his son Richard became the fourth generation to take on the farm. Rodney passed his many years of experience and wisdom to his son and continued to do what he loved, taking care of the cattle, bottle feeding the calves, and driving and maintaining the John Deere tractors. When Rodney was not caring for the farm and cattle, he could be found at the bowling leagues in Cochrane and Arcadia, or shooting trap. Rodney also had a 1979 Buick Electra limited car that he purchased new. On nice days when the farm work was complete, Rodney enjoyed driving around Buffalo County in his classic car, and taking it to local car shows in Buffalo City and Waumandee.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother: Darrel.
A funeral service for Rodney will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 7, 2025, at Montana United Methodist Church with Tom Elliott officiating.
