Randall Schmidt

Randall Bernard Schmidt, 69, of Buffalo City, died Saturday, May 24, 2025 at his home.  Randy was born on May 8, 1956, in Waterloo, Iowa to Richard and Florence (Dorman) Schmidt.

After graduating from Mound West Tonka High School, he moved to Arcadia and went on to obtain his Bachelor of Science Degree from Winona State. From there he began his career in business management in grocery stores which allowed him to move across the country. In 1978 he married Kay Maloney, and together had a daughter, Amy.

Randy enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing euchre.

He is survived by his daughter, Amy (Tim) O'Neil; grandchildren, Maddy, Patrick, Seamus, and Sully; siblings, Ron (Lisa) Schmidt, Kevin Schmidt, Kim (Paul) Kania, Kolleen (Don) Wick; sister-in-law, Julie Schmidt; and many nieces and nephews.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Kay; and twin brother, Rick Schmidt.
