Marlene Mary Weaver, 90, of Arcadia, died Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse. She was born on August 26, 1935, to Edmund and Celia (Sydlo) Salwey in Arcadia. Marlene grew up in Waumandee and after graduating high school she married Bruno Weaver. Together they raised 6 children.
Marlene was known for her famous popcorn concession stand at the pool and during football games. She also worked as a cook at Arcadia High School and after working at Ashley Furniture, she retired to truly enjoy her time at home where she loved tending to her vegetable garden and canning much of her harvest.
Marlene also enjoyed sewing, making cards, traveling to different casinos, and shooting pool in the local leagues.
Survived by her children, Nancy Weaver, Randy (Julie) Weaver, and Bill (Karen Przybilla) Weaver; grandchildren, Amanda (Jeff) Klopp, William Ressel Jr., Jamie ( Sara) Ressel Thomas Weaver, Nicolas (Kayla) Weaver, and Eric Weaver; Chelsey (Jake) Stonesifer, Jay Schock; great-grandchildren, Bradyn and Koldyn Korpal, Brett, Ben, and Sam Klopp, Thomas and Grace Miller, Jasmine Stone, Grey Best, Emma, Alex, Andy, Henry, Mavrick, and Everett Weaver; Zoe, Mya, and Ava Stonesifer; great-great-grand daughter, Raylyn Miller; siblings, Charlotte (Tom) Solberg and Gloria Salwey; and brother-in-law, Jerry Weaver.
Marlene was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bruno; children, Joseph, Julie, and Sandy Weaver; and siblings, Diane Jesson and Jack Salwey.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3 p.m., Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at Wozney-Killian Funeral Home led by Sherry Reck-Haines. Family and friends are welcome for visitation from 1-3 p.m. Private family burial will be in St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery.
