Mark Andre, 66, passed away Monday, October 5, 2026, at Mayo Clinic Health System Hospital in La Crosse, Wisconsin.
Mark was born March 12, 1960, to Franklin and Marjorie (Abts) Andre and grew up in Arcadia, Wisconsin. He graduated from Arcadia High School and spent much of his life in the Coulee Region.
Mark worked for many years at Heileman Bakery in La Crosse, remaining with the company through its various changes in ownership and name, including Metz, Sara Lee and ultimately Bimbo Bakeries. After more than 37 years with the company, he retired in 2021.
Mark enjoyed the outdoors and spending time doing the things he loved. In his younger years, he played on local softball leagues. He enjoyed deer hunting and fishing, including trips to Chetek to fish. He took pride in caring for the Coon Creek Trout Pond and was a member of the Chaseburg Rod and Gun Club. Mark also enjoyed grilling and following Wisconsin sports, especially the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, and Wisconsin Badgers.
Mark is survived by his daughter, Jessica (Brandon) Stinson of Whitehall, and his grandson, Preston; his sister, Faye Olson of Pigeon Falls; his brother, Todd Andre of Galesville; sister-in-law, Cleone Andre of Independence; nieces and nephews, Wendy Mugrage, Michael Mugrage, Heather Andre, and Nic Andre; and his special friend, Brenda.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Franklin and Marjorie Andre, and his brother, Paul Andre.
A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m., Sunday, October 11, 2026 at Wozney-Killian Funeral Home with Reverend Issac Pecha officiating. Family and friends are welcome for visitation from 4 p.m. until the time of the service. Wozney-Killian Funeral Home is assisting the family.
