Joanne Klein

Joanne Marie Klein, 76, of Arcadia, WI, was called home to the Kingdom of Heaven on her birthday, Saturday, August 1, at Marinuka Manor Nursing Home, embraced by her husband and surrounded by her family. Joanne was born on August 1, 1950, in Arcadia to Joseph Jaszewski and Helen (Susa) Jaszewski. She was the fifth of eight children. She attended elementary school at Sacred Heart School in Pine Creek through eighth grade and graduated from Arcadia High School. On April 20, 1968, Joanne married the love of her life and best friend, Roger Klein of Trempealeau. They were blessed with six children, Roger Jr., Neil, Rebecca, Valerie, Jason, and Jordan.

After graduating from high school, Joanne prioritized her children and her role as a mom. Years later, she returned to school and earned her bachelor's degree in French and Secondary Education from Winona State University. She loved teaching and loved her students, spending 10 years at Arcadia Catholic School and 13 years at Arcadia Public School, where she taught French and English. In 2007, she received the Chamber of Commerce Educator of the Year award, but her greatest satisfaction came from the accomplishments and successes of her students. After a long and impactful career, Joanne retired from teaching in 2019. In 2023, Joanne and Roger were nominated as Arcadia Raiders Fans of the Year, reflecting their lifelong support of students and school activities. Joanne continued substitute teaching as late as 2025, until her illness no longer allowed it.

In addition to teaching, Joanne enjoyed reading, traveling, and spending as much time as possible with her children and grandchildren. She was the best mom and grandmother anyone could have asked for. Joanne was also active in her church and community in many ways. Her faith was of utmost importance to her, and she demonstrated that daily, as well as more formally through her service as President of the Holy Family Catholic Church Parish Council, an active member of the church choir, CCD teacher, marriage preparation counselor, PCCW member, and member of the Catholic Order of Foresters. As many of you know, Joanne's pecan pies were always a hit at the Holy Family Catholic Church annual fall festival auction. Joanne will be remembered for her deep faith, devotion to family, love of teaching, and the countless ways she encouraged and supported the people around her.

Joanne was preceded in death by her parents; sister Deloris; brothers Dan and Tom; daughter Rebecca; and grandchildren Blake and Bennet Dallman.

Joanne is survived by her husband of 58 years, Roger; her sons Roger Jr. (Beth) and son Isaiah; Neil (Stacey) and sons Alexander, Evan, and William; daughter Valerie (Ben Dallman) and sons Lincoln and Harrison and daughter Liliana; Jason (Stacy) and sons Kellen and Declan; and Jordan (Lara) and son Myles and daughter Macy; one brother, Ron Jaszewski (Sue); three sisters, Marian Snyder (Don), Teresa Sobota (Jack), and Diane Rebarchek (Joe); and a special friend and sister-in-law, Kathy Jaszewski.

Visitation will be held in the fellowship hall in the church basement of Holy Family Catholic Church on Thursday, August 13, 2026, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM, followed by the rosary. An additional visitation will be held prior to the funeral service on Friday, August 14, 2026, from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 14, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, with Father Kyle Laylan officiating, followed by burial at Holy Cross Cemetery in Trempealeau, WI. After the burial service, there will be a celebration of life at the Arcadia Country Club, beginning around 2:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Holy Family Catholic Church or Arcadia Catholic School.
