Jerome "Jerry" F. Jereczek, 67, of Trempealeau, passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2018, at the Onalaska Care Center.
Jerry was born in Arcadia on January 10, 1951, to Hubert James and Mildred Cecelia (Maliszewski) Jereczek. He graduated from Arcadia High School in 1969, and with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Accounting from Winona State in 1973. He was united in marriage to Ruth Kathryn Thomas on December 16, 1972, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Arcadia. Jerry was an accountant and was employed as a controller with Midway Container out of St. Paul, Minnesota until his retirement in 2013. Jerry enjoyed playing golf, cards and watching high school sports.
Jerry is survived by his wife: Ruth of Trempealeau; his brother: Kenneth (Diane) Jereczek of Pine Creek; sister: Charlene Helms of Kaukauna; brothers-in-law: Ray Walters, Rollie (Jane) Thomas, and Randy (Nancy) Thomas all of Arcadia; sisters-in-law: Ramona (Gene) Wachs of Arcadia, Rose (Tony) Fernholz of Onalaska, and Dianne Thomas of Arcadia; lifelong friend: Jim (Bonnie) Brandt; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister: Jeannine Davis; brothers-in-law: David Helms, Richard Thomas and Robert Davis; sister-in-law: Rita Walters; nephew Marty Helms
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 5, 2018, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pine Creek with Fathers William Kulas and Sebastian Kolodziejczyk officiating. Family and friends are invited for visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at the Wozney-Killian Funeral Home in Arcadia with a 7 p.m. Rosary. Visitation will also be from 10 a.m. until the time of mass at church on Thursday. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Pine Creek.
Jerry's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Onalaska Care Center staff for their exceptional care during Jerry's stay. They would also like to thank family and friends for all the love, care and help for the past few years while Jerry battled cancer.
