Holly Ann Mohr, 54, of Arcadia, WI, passed away on April 20, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Holly was born on February 17, 1969, to Lola and Al Mohr in Stillwater, MN. In 1991, Holly met Nick Slaby at JB’s in Waumandee. Holly and Nick stayed together through the years, and happily married on March 21, 2023.
Holly was a dedicated employee of Sprint (later became T-Mobile) for 30 years. She started her career with Sprint as a receptionist and through her dedication and hard work, she was quickly promoted to leadership. She held numerous titles/roles during her tenure, but she was happiest when she was helping others set and achieve their personal performance goals. During Holly’s 30-year career she received many prestigious awards and was recognized multiple times for her work ethic, knowledge, and teamwork. She “left ripples in the water” wherever she went, and those ripples will influence the lives of her employees for generations.
Holly also dedicated her time to Sportsman’s Lounge. She was an avid Sporty’s softball fan and was ever present during deer hunting season. She loved to chat with the regulars and always had a way of making everyone feel they were part of the Sportsman’s Family.
Holly lived life to the fullest and made everyone around her part of her circle. The greatest gift that Holly taught was the meaning of friendship – being there for others when they needed a hand or a smile. She loved deeply and was deeply loved.
Holly was preceded in death by her mom, Lola Mohr. She is survived by her husband, Nick Slaby; son: Justin (Brittany) White; granddaughters: Kennedy and Lola; father: Al Mohr; sisters: Vala Mohr and Lisa (Pete) Mohr; brother: Scott (Milisa) Mohr; special “grandkids”: Ruby, Tate, Theo F., and Theo R.; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who became family.
A celebration of Holly’s life will be held beginning at 4 p.m. on Thursday, May 4, 2023, at the Arcadia Lion’s Club Pavilion in Memorial Park, Arcadia. Burial will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions designated to "family wishes" are preferred, and will be used towards the placement of a Memory Bench in Memorial Park.
