Eugene William Kahlfeld, 85, died Friday, March 15, 2024, at Marinuka Manor, Galesville, WI. Gene was born January 26, 1939 in Madison, WI to William and Stella (Hanson) Kahlfeld.
Gene loved the outdoors. He hunted and fished as long as he was physically able. He was a talented woodworker and cook. He was always doing what he could for others.
Gene is survived by a sister, Betty Couch; many nieces and nephews; and special friend, Wendy Sense. He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 sisters; Bernice Fishburn, Delores Schmelzer and Shirley Mack.
The family would like to thank the Marinuka Manor staff for their attentive care of Gene. A special thanks to Wendy and her friend Judy for their care and friendship to Gene.
At Gene's request there will not be a service. He will be cremated and his ashes will be spread in the great outdoors.
