Ernest "Ernie" E. Lisowski, 67, of Arcadia, died Monday, January 12, 2026 at Lakeview Health Care Center in West Salem.
Ernie was born in Arcadia on September 10, 1958 to Edward and Mary (Rippley) Lisowski. As a young boy, he spent many of his summers at his grandparents, Louis and Joann Rippley's, farm in Waumandee. He also spent many warm summer evenings mowing grass (which he continued to enjoy his entire life) at his Grandma Esther's house and also helped tend to her large garden. He graduated from Arcadia High School in 1976. He was an incredibly hard worker his entire life. During high school he picked eggs for their neighbor and was a stock boy and gas pump attendant at the Corner Store. He then followed his lifelong passion of becoming a truck driver for Wilber Lime Products and Pehler Trucking.
Ernie and former spouse, Rocky Jereczek, had two daughters; Ashlee and Amber. He was incredibly proud of his daughters, but it was his grandchildren that he deeply cherished.
Ernie was known for being a lifelong Viking fan, his heart of gold, and never letting anyone go thirsty or hungry when they stopped by.
Ernie is survived by his daughters: Ashlee (Matthew) Riegel of Trempealeau and Amber (Brian) Walske of Arcadia; grandchildren: Brianna, Brooklyn, and Aliyah Walske and Theodore and Hayes Riegel; siblings: Susie (Dan) Miller, Carol (Scott) Scharlau, Cleo (Andy) Skroch, David (Shelly) Lisowski, and Nancy (Jim) Evanson; and many special nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Lisowski and Mary Lisowski; grandparents; aunts and uncles.
A heartfelt thank you from our family to the Trempealeau County Health Care Center and Lakeview Health Care Center Ravenwood for the exceptional care he received. Your kindness and compassion gave us all peace of mind and comfort.
