Dr. Rizalino Noval Yray, Sr., 85, of Arcadia, passed away at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse on May 6, 2016.
Rizalino was born on October 17, 1930, in Lilo-An Cebu, Philippines, to parents Mario and Julieta (Noval) Yray.
He graduated from Manila Central University in the Philippines, to earn a Doctorate of Medicine Degree, and did his internship in Kansas City, MO.
Rizalino married the love of his life, Felicidad Ortiz, in Kansas City, MO, on June 13, 1958. In 1970, he moved his family to Arcadia and started a practice with Dr. Florentino Lleva.
For 20 years, he served the medical needs of the residents in Arcadia, and surrounding communities. He received the Governor's Special Award in 1996.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Felicidad of Arcadia; 4 sons: Louis Yray of Arcadia, Dr. Rizalino (Evelyn) Yray, Jr. of Genesee, Irwin Yray of Anaheim, CA, Joseph (Jody) Yray of Hudson; 2 grandchildren: Nikolas Yray and Elizabeth Yray; 1 sister: Dr. Macrina Yray.
Rizalino is preceded in death by his parents; 3 sisters, Gerarda, Milagros, Gloria; 1 brother, Arturo Yray.
Visitation will be held at Wozney-Killian Funeral Home Wednesday, May 11th from 4-8 PM, where there will be a 7:00 PM rosary, and at the church an hour before the service. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 12th, 11 AM at Holy Family Parish with Rev. Sebastian Kolodziejczyk. Burial will be held at Calvary Cemetery, rural Arcadia.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Dr. Rizalino N. Yray, can be made to the Gift Of Life Transplant House, 705 2nd St SW, Rochester, MN, 55902.
