Doris Hohmann

Doris E. Hohmann, 89, of Winona and formerly of Buffalo City died on Sunday, November 24, 2013, at Winona Health in Winona, MN. Doris was born on February 8, 1924, in the Township of Waumandee, WI to George E. and Elsie A. (Putz) Hilgert. She married Irvin J. Hohmann on October 7, 1941, in Whitehall.
Doris and Irvin farmed in Waumandee and moved to Pleasantville. She was a member of the Elk Creek Lutheran Church, the Women of the ELCA, sang in the choir, served as church treasurer, and a member of the Pleasantville Homemakers. Doris sold B Line clothing, worked at Charter Travel, was a part time cook at the Whitehall School, baby sat, and was very proud to be a Charter Member (50 years) of the Arcadia Credit Union.
Doris is survived by her 4 sons: Irvin "Junior" (Lorry) Hohmann Jr. of Dover, MN, Gordon (Kathleen) Hohmann of Arcadia, Emmett (Diane) Hohmann of Arcadia and Chester Hohmann of Arcadia, 3 sisters: Bernice Baker of Cochrane, Elaine Fetting of Buffalo City, and Geraldine Palenske of Winona; 9 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband on June 26, 1989, and a sister, Ruby Hansen.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2013, at 11:00 AM at the Elk Creek Lutheran Church with Rev. Terry Lorenz officiating. Friends may call on Friday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Wozney-Killian Funeral Home. They may also call on Saturday from, 10:00 AM until the time of services at the church.
Burial will be in the Waumandee Public Cemetery in Waumandee, WI.
