Aaron Edmund Sobotta, 91, of Arcadia, died Sunday, August 30, 2026 at home. Aaron was born on March 5, 1935 in Arcadia to August and Helen (Pyka) Sobotta. After graduating high school, Aaron attended the Milwaukee School of Engineering. He went on to work as an industrial engineer, specializing in heavy equipment. In 1975, Aaron married Adeline Paquin and together they shared 39 years of marriage until her passing in 2014.
Aaron was an avid Packer fan and loved attending games. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, and golfing. He also shared a special bond with his sister, Doris. Together they took many bus trips to enjoy Christmas shows and visits to the casino.
Aaron is survived by his sons, David (Denise) Sobotta and Craig Sobotta; stepdaughters, Karen (Pete) Leszcynski and Suzy (Bill) Erwin; grandchildren, Michael Sobotta, Shiloh (Tyler) Marthaler, Kayla (Bradly) Bott, Aaron Sobotta, and Jeffrey Sobotta; great-grandchildren, Colie Sobotta, Gwendoline Sobotta, Jocelyn and Travis Marthaler, and Piper Bott.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Adeline; sons, Jeffrey and Philip; stepdaughter, Patti Paquin; and siblings, Richard Sobotta, Elaine (Greg) Repinski, and Doris (Galen) Mueller.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, September 11, 2026 at Holy Family Parish with Reverend Kyle Laylan officiating. Family and friends are welcome for visitation in the fellowship hall in the church basement from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery.
