Wayne M. Schock, 72, of Galesville, WI died on Monday, November 5, 2018, at his home. Wayne was born on March 24, 1946, in Arcadia to Evarist and Bernadine "Gerny" (Urbick) Schock Sr.
Wayne attended Arcadia High School. He entered the U.S. Army on October 26, 1965, and was honorably discharged on October 26, 1967. He married Donna M. Greenwold on October 26, 1968, at Fagernes Lutheran Church, rural Blair. Wayne loved having his family around and went out of his way to help them in any way he could. His grandchildren and great grandchildren were his pride and joy. He enjoyed making sure his lawn always looked amazing, cooking and grilling enough to feed a small army, and never passing up the opportunity to buy a "new" gadget. In May of this year, he was honored and proud to take the Freedom Flight to Washington DC along with his brother Adry and his nephew Scott.
Wayne is survived by his beloved wife: Donna of Galesville; two daughters: Wendy (Tony) Suchla of Trempealeau and Wanda (Jeremy Prudlick) Theisen of Galesville; 4 grandchildren: Michael (Kalli) Schock, Kaylie (Jay) Spittler, Shoen Suchla, and Chaes Suchla; 4 great grandchildren: Ledger, Slayter, Briven and Avayla; God Daughter: Jessica Schock Kittleson. Brothers and Sisters: Evarist (Sharon) Schock, Adrian Schock, Jane Gadzinski, La Rayne (Bob) Kupietz, Randy (Lisa) Schock, Dan Schock, and Jeff Schock along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and infant child; brother: Ronald "PeeWee" Schock, sister: Mary Lynn Schock and special sister-in-law: Linda Schock.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 9, 2018, at 11:30 AM at French Creek Lutheran Church with Rev. Anna Sorenson officiating. Friends and family may call on Thursday November 8, 2018, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wozney-Killian Funeral Home and again on Friday from 10:30 AM until the time of services at the church. Military burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery, Blair, WI with a luncheon to follow at the church.
