Thomas Albert Woychik, 63, of Arcadia, passed away on Sunday, July 15, 2018, at Mayo Clinic Health System- St. Mary's Campus in Rochester, MN.
Tom was born in Arcadia on April 14, 1955, to Leroy and Faith (Reedy) Woychik. After attending Arcadia Schools, Tom created his own Excavating Company, Woychik Construction, and took pride in his work that built a positive reputation. He married Joyce Kampa on November 27, 1982, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Arcadia. Together the couple raised two children, whom have further blessed them with a son and daughter-in-law and grandchildren who endearingly called Tom, "Papa". Tom was a member of Holy Family Parish and the Knights of Columbus. Tom enjoyed fishing, tinkering with projects, being outdoors, and spending time at his "happy place" in Hayward, WI, with his friends and family. He could also be caught with a smile on his face while enjoying ice cream and pillow fights with his grandbabies. He was patient, soft-spoken, and precise. Tom's friendly nature showed through his generosity and willingness to do anything for anyone. He will be truly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Tom is survived by his wife of 35 years, Joyce of Arcadia; daughter, Kelsey (Seth) Hoyer of Altoona; son, Grant (Ashley) Woychik of Holmen; grandchildren, Lana Hoyer, Steele and Blakley Woychik; parents, Leroy and Faith Woychik of Winona; brother, Jim (Linda) Woychik of Onalaska; sisters, Holly (Jacob Gonzales) Ibarra of San Antonio, TX, Nancy Slaby of Winona, and Susan (Ron) Bautch of New Berlin; and numerous friends around Arcadia and Hayward. He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Al Slaby.
There will be a visitation in Tom's honor on Tuesday, July 17, 2018, from 4-8 pm at the Wozney-Killian Funeral Home. We will have a public prayer service at 7 pm with Rosary to follow.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 18, 2018, at Holy Family Parish, Arcadia. Family and friends are invited for visitation at 10 a.m. until the time of church service. Father Sebastian Kolodziejczyk will be officiating. A private burial will be at the Calvary Cemetery at a later time.
