Shirley M. (Mark) Pronschinske, age 79, died Friday, December 8, 2017, at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse, WI.
Shirley was born in Chicago, IL to William and Irene (Snyder) Schultz on March 30, 1938. She moved to Wisconsin in 1959, and worked at the old Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire, WI. She had the honor of becoming the Foster daughter of Joseph and Florence Fedie Sr. of Durand, WI It was through their love and kindness that she became a Catholic. One of the best things she had happen in her life.
In September of 1961 she met the love of her life Mark. Soon after he was called into service and had a long-distance relationship by writing letters.
On July 6,1963, she married Mark M. Pronschinske at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Lima/ Durand, WI
Shirley is survived by her husband Mark of Arcadia, WI, 2 sons; William J. (Melanie) Pronschinske of Waumandee, WI, David M. of Arcadia, WI, 3 daughters; Peggy (Doug) McFarlin of Fountain City, WI, Beth (Terry) Grossbach of Holmen, WI, and Amy (Keith) Guenther of Mondovi, WI; Foster Family; Judy (Mark) Loesel of Galesville, WI, grandchildren; Josh Pronschinske, Jeremy and Mikala Pronschinske, Allyson , Scott and Madelynn Grossbach, Morgan and Hunter Guenther, Leah, Lindsy and Lexi Loesel, Sisters: Dorothy (Rudy) Pronschinske of Cochrane, WI, Mary (Bernard) Schmidtknecht of Mondovi,WI, Judy (Tom) Weiss of Durand, WI. Joann (Mitch) Doverspike of Stoughton, WI, Sharon (Rick) Pickering of Mondovi, WI, brother; Joe (Jane) Fedie of Mondovi, WI.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, sisters; Connie (Julian) King, Ruth (Dave) Prissel, nephews; Jared Pickering, Greg Schmidtknecht, and George Oberding.
Shirley was a domestic engineer and worked on the farm along side of her husband. She also loved raking hay with her Oliver 60. She made the best apple pie, pecan pie and cookies. Shirley was a member of the St. Boniface choir, and St. Theresa Group. Do not remember me with tears. Remember me with smiles and love.
Friends may call from 4:00- 8:00 PM Thursday, December 14, 2017, at Wozney-Killian Funeral Home and from 9:30 until 10:30 AM Friday at St Boniface Catholic Church in Waumandee, WI. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, December 15, 2017, at St. Boniface Catholic Church. Rev. Brian Jazdzewski will officiate. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery.
