Robert E. Schreiber, 71, of Arcadia died on Wednesday, August 28, 2013, at his home. He was born on October 20, 1941, in Arcadia to Oscar A. and Helen (Olson) Schreiber. Bob was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, he drove truck for Pehler Trucking and Kuehn's Trucking, he served in the U.S. Navy.
Bob enjoyed playing cards with his many friends, going to the girl's softball games, the boys and girl's basketball games, and was awarded fan of the year. He also enjoyed tip up ice fishing, and was so kind hearted that he would do anything for anyone.
Bob is survived by his best friend, Joan Schock of Arcadia, three brothers: David "Snook" (Cynthia) Schreiber of Holmen, Gary (Darlene) Schreiber of Trempealeau, Ronald (Sophie) Schreiber of Arcadia; nieces and nephews, Sally (Terry) Pronschinske, Jennifer (Lance) Kowalsky, Rick Schreiber, Robin (Bob) Bergum, Becky (Brian) Parr, Jason (Racheal) Schreiber; great nieces and nephews: Megan and Marlee Pronschinske, Brandon and Nikki Kowalsky, Kaylee Schreiber, Dane and Lexi Bergum, and Gavin Parr. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2013, at Christ Lutheran Church with Rev. Peter Jonas officiating. Friends may call on Tuesday from 9:00 AM until the time of services. Burial will be in Glencoe Lutheran Cemetery, with Military Rites by Tickfer-Erickson Legion Post 17 and the V.F.W. Post 10671.
