Maxine Marion Sendelbach, 86, of Verona, WI passed away of lung cancer on March 28, 2019, at Agrace Hospice in Fitchburg. She was born on February 19, 1933, in Waumandee, WI to Matt and Sarah (Rippley) Pronschinske. Maxine married Anton "Tony" Sendelbach on June 23, 1956, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Waumandee.
Maxine loved working on family heritage, reading, playing cards, and traveling. She especially enjoyed talking to all kinds of people. Her greatest source of pride were the accomplishments of her children and grandchildren. She helped set up an Endowment Foundation in honor of Tony's career in Dairy Science at the UW-Madison.
Maxine is survived by four children: Lee (Jo Lee) Sendelbach of Eagan, MN, Tom Sendelbach of Green Bay, Paul Sendelbach of Madison, and Jean (William) Sternman of Mequon, WI; eleven grandchildren: Steven, Kim, Philip, Nathan, Ryan, Kyle, Keryn, Dan, Sara, Madeline, and Sam; eight great grandchildren; four siblings: Jane Sendelbach of Arcadia, Kay Doelle of Fountain City, Mark Pronschinske of Arcadia, and Carl (Kathy) Pronley of Brookfield, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Tony on January 26, 2000; her brother Ed Pronley; and her sister: Ruth Tritz.
There will be no service in Verona but there will be a Memorial Mass held on Saturday, April 6, 2019, at 11:00 AM at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Waumandee, WI with Father Prince Raja officiating. Friends and family may call on Friday at the Wozney-Killian Funeral Home in Arcadia from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, where there will be a 7:00 PM rosary, and again on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of services at St. Boniface Catholic Church.
Burial will be in St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery.
Memorials can be made to the charity of their choice. The family would like to extend a Special Thank You to Agrace Hospice for their compassionate care Maxine received in her final days.
