Linus Zastrow

Linus W. Zastrow, 56, of Arcadia, passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2012, at Mayo Clinic Health System-La Crosse.
Linus was born on December 30, 1955, to Raymond and Theresa (Wieland) Zastrow in Arcadia. He attended Arcadia Public Schools and worked as a farm hand. He was employed by Gold ‘N Plump, Inc. for over 17 years. Linus enjoyed the company of his family and friends, participating in the family card club, fishing, and watching the Green Bay Packers.
Linus is survived by his mother, Theresa of Arcadia; brothers, Michael of Arcadia, Warren of Durand, Richard (Heather) of Arcadia, Brian (Teresa Bauer) of Arcadia, Neil of Arcadia, Eldon (Cathy Purdy) of Arcadia, and Brad (Debbie Swanson) of Dodge; sisters, Paulette (Robert) Rippley of Arcadia, Lorna (Paul) Weaver of Arcadia, Karen Unser of Durand, Dawn (Dan) Frahm of Dodge, Sandra (Mark) Frahm of Dodge, Jayne (Patrick) Meier of Winona, and Dana (Jon) Peterson of Arcadia; 29 nieces and nephews; 8 step-nieces and nephews; 17 great-nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond; brother Raymond, Jr.; an infant brother; grandparents; brother-in-law, George Wantlin; and niece, Melanie Zastrow.
A Memorial Service of Linus' life will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 27, 2012, at Christ Lutheran Church in Arcadia with Pastors Peter Jonas and Rhia Wilkin officiating. Family and friends are invited for visitation an hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Burial will be at a later date in Glencoe Lutheran Cemetery, rural Arcadia. Linus' wishes were to donate his body to Science. Wozney-Killian Funeral Home, Arcadia, is assisting his family with arrangements.
