Linus Thomas Sobotta, 63, of Arcadia died on Thursday, June 20, 2013, at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse. Linus was born on September 16, 1949, in Arcadia to Edmund and Julia (Filla) Sobotta. He graduated from Arcadia High School, and farmed in North Creek. He married Joyce Pierzina at Fagernes Lutheran Church, they later divorced.
Linus was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in North Creek until its closure, and became a member of Holy Family Parish in Arcadia. Linus loved his horses and horse pulls, crop checking his cows, dogs, loved sports on TV and watching the children play. His children and grandchildren were his pride and joy.
Linus is survived by his mother; Julia Sobotta of Arcadia, 3 sons; Mark (Chloe) Sobotta of Arcadia, Lance Sobotta of Trempealeau, Travis Sobotta of Arcadia, 2 daughters; Lacy Sobotta of Blair, Larissa Sobotta of La Crosse, 5 grandchildren, 1 brother; La Vern (Marlette) Sobotta of Arcadia, 1 sister; Helen Lois Bautch of Arcadia. He was preceded in death by his father; Edmund and a sister; Alice.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, June 24, 2013, at 11:00 AM, at St. Michael's Catholic Church with Father Raj and Monsignor Edmund Klimek officiating. Friends may call on Sunday at the Wozney-Killian Funeral Home from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM where there will be a 7:00 PM Rosary. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery, North Creek.
