Larry Gene Urbick 74, of Marshfield, WI and formerly Arcadia died with his family by his side, on Friday, September 14, 2018. Larry was born on May 28, 1944, in Galesville, WI to Lambert and Clarice (Bjorge) Urbick. He was baptized and confirmed at Christ Lutheran Church in Arcadia, WI.
Larry graduated from Arcadia High School in 1962 and received an Associates Degree from MATC. He was a Proud Veteran of the United States Air Force, serving from 1962 to 1966. On October 1, 1965, he married the love of his life, Janet Watson, at Christ's American Lutheran Church in Odessa, Texas. He was an IT Specialist at ADM Cocoa in Milwaukee, retiring on April 1, 2010.
Larry loved fishing, camping, was an avid Packer fan,and a VFW member. Larry adored his daughters and grandchildren, and loved his two spoiled Shelties. He also enjoyed working Sudoku puzzles and playing Euchre.
Larry is survived by his wife: Janet of Marshfield; 2 daughters: Julie (Kimberly) Reynolds of Sun Prairie, WI, Vicki (Chuck) Thom of Stoughton, WI; 6 grandchildren: Chris (Bre) Counard, Kiara (Steven) Counard, Cody Counard, Kylie Counard, Cadin Counard and Zaiden Lalley; 2 brothers: Roger Urbick of Whitehall, Herbie Urbick of Independence; 1 sister: Sharon (Bob) Byrne of Trempealeau, WI. He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 sisters: Joyce Moe, Betty Jane Knutson and Sonia Raab.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2018, at 11:00 AM at Christ Lutheran Church, 821 Lincoln Street, Arcadia, WI with Rev. David Johnson officiating. Friends and family may call on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of services at the church. Burial will be in Glencoe Lutheran Cemetery in rural Arcadia, with Military Rites by Tickfer-Erickson Legion Post 17.
The family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses at Marshfield Medical Center. along with all the doctors, nurses, aides and chaplains from Ascension Hospice Care. In lieu of flowers the family would prefer memorials to the American Cancer Society.
