James J. Symitczek, 60, of Arcadia died on Tuesday, January 20, 2015, at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse. Jim was born on April 3, 1954, in Arcadia to Sylvester and Evelyn (Weaver) Symitczek.
Jim married Lori Slaby on December 3, 1982, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Arcadia. He had retired from Ashley Furniture Industries. He had been a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in North Creek. Jim enjoyed fishing, hunting, horse pulling, spending time with his family, and most of all, playing with his granddaughter, Kenley.
Jim is survived by his wife: Lori of Arcadia; children: Derek Symitczek of Arcadia, Amanda (Dave Fernholz) Symitczek of Fountian City, , Jaci Symitczek of Blair, Nicole Zastrow of Winona, granddaughter: Kenley Fernholz, and mother: Evelyn Symitczek of Arcadia. He was preceded in death by his father and brother, Fred.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 23, 2015, at 7:00 PM at Wozney-Killian Funeral Home with Rev. Sebastian Kolodziejczyk officiating. Friends may call on Friday from 4:00 PM until the time of services at the funeral home.
