Francis "Franz" A. Pronschinske, 83, of Arcadia, died on Sunday, March 10, 2019, at his home under the care of Winona Area Hospice.
Franz was born in Fountain City, WI on July 1, 1935, to Alphonse and Agnes (Semling) Pronschinske. He married Bernice Woychik on September 24, 1956, at S.S. Peter and Paul's Catholic Church in Independence, and together they dairy farmed in Bills Valley. He was a member of Holy Family Parish and Our Lady of Perpetual Help, the Knights of Columbus, and a past board member of the Arcadia Co-Op. Franz enjoyed farming, deer hunting, dancing, bowling with the Ma & Pa and Men's League, and was a member of the Glencoe Card Club.
Franz is survived by his wife Bernice of Arcadia; sons: Curtis Pronschinske of Arcadia and Gary (Annette) Pronschinske of Arcadia; daughter, Karen (Scott) Morris of Elk Mound; 4 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brothers: Clarence (Beverly) Pronschinske of Arcadia and Linus (Phyllis) Pronschinske of Independence; sisters: Antonia "Toni" Smieja of Mankato, MN, and Lois Klimek-Deeren of Ettrick; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Aaron, Quintin, and Cletus; sisters: Ermina Pronschinske, Dorothy Schaub, Vera Wozney, and Mary Lou Soppa; and many in-laws and other family members.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at Holy Family Parish with Father Kyle Laylan officiating. Family and friends are invited for visitation at the Wozney-Killian Funeral Home on
Tuesday, March 12, 2019, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. where there will be a Rosary at
7 p.m. and Public Prayer Service at 7:30 p.m., and also one hour prior to the service at church on Wednesday. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, rural Arcadia.
