Clara Berg

Clara A. Berg, 88, of Blair and formerly of Arcadia, died on Monday, February 11, 2013, at Grand View Care Center in Blair, WI. She was born on January 13, 1925, in the Twp. of Glencoe, Buffalo Co. Wisconsin to Carl and Rose (Guenther) Weltzien. Clara married Albert P. Berg on May 27, 1948, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Arcadia. Together they farmed in the Twp. of Glencoe. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and the Woman of the ELCA, was a quilter, and cleaned the church along with Albert. Clara and Albert cut many 1000 cord of wood, they liked to travel, go to concerts, and garden. Clara and Albert lived in their large home for 55 years before moving to Whitehall.
Clara is survived by nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Albert on August 11, 2009, two brothers; Elmer and Charles Weltzien, two sisters; Verna Maier and Linda Ryan.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 14, 2013, at 10:30 AM at Christ Lutheran Church with Rev. Peter Jonas officiating. Friends may call on Thursday from 9:30 AM until the time of services at the church. Burial will be in Glencoe Lutheran Cemetery in the Twp. of Glencoe, rural Arcadia.
