Arvilla M. Kupietz, 84, of Arcadia died on Tuesday, August 20, 2013, at Mayo Health System in La Crosse. She was born on January 28, 1929, in Arcadia to Thomas and Martha (Klonecki) Suchla. Arvie graduated from Arcadia High School. She married Vincent Kupietz on February 11, 1947, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church.
Arvie's main job was being a wonderful mother and home maker. She worked at Arcadia Fryers, was the first employee for Arcadia Industries, and worked at Ashley Furniture Industries. Arvie was a member of Holy Family Parish, a member of the PCCW where she was very active in the Fall Festivals, making bread and coffee cakes at church.
Arvie is survived by her children: Mary (David) Berg of Big Lake, MN, Lynn (Bernard) Pronschinske of Arcadia, Kathy (Andrew) Berry of De Soto, Thomas (Mary Ann) Kupietz of Arcadia, Robert (La Rayne) Kupietz of Arcadia, an extra son, little Jim Suchla; she often mentioned her family of 8 with Shane, Corey and Mat, "her boys"; brothers, Donald (Beatrice) Suchla of Arcadia, William Suchla of West Bend; sisters, Marian Earney of Cochrane, Theresa (Ed) Stanislowski of Trempealeau; 21 grandchildren; 50 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vince on Dec. 9, 2008; brothers Kenny "Jim" Suchla, Jerome and Leander in infancy; sister, Bernadine Sonsalla; grandson, Alan Keller; great grandchildren, Christopher and Brittany.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, August 24, 2013, at 10:00 AM, at Holy Family Parish with Rev. Sebastian Kolodziejczyk officiating. Friends may call on Friday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wozney-Killian Funeral Home where there will be a prayer service and rosary at 7:00 PM. Friends may also call on Saturday from 9:00 AM until the time of services at the church. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
