Romelle Clarice Berzinski, 84, of Arcadia died Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at Grandview Care Center, in Blair, WI.
She was born March 28, 1933, in Waumandee, Wisconsin to Earl and Clara (Korte) Benning. She married Donovan Berzinski on July 19, 1958, at St. Boniface Church in Waumandee, Wisconsin. Romelle graduated from Arcadia High School in 1951 and Winona State Teachers College in 1956.
Romelle was loved and respected by her family and friends for her kindness, steadfast Christian faith, love of family, generosity, ability to listen, excellent cooking and genuine interest and care for others.
Romelle was passionate about her work as a Catholic school teacher and administrator and worked with multiple generations of students that remember her fondly.
Romelle is survived by her husband: Donovan "Berzi"; and sons: Jim and Tom; daughter: Jane Hoesley; son in law: Perry Hoesley; daughter in law,:Laura Berzinski; grandsons and granddaughters: Hans Hoesley, Hanna Hoesley, Ellie Hoesley, Katherine Berzinski and Matthew Berzinski; Sister in law: Phyllis Wolfe
Romelle is preceded in death by her parents: Clara and Earl Benning; and brother: Jesse Benning.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church in Arcadia, Wisconsin at 11:00 am on Thursday, September 7, 2017. Friends and family may call from 10 to 11:00 at the Church prior to the Mass. A private burial at later date.
