Cody Bernard Wozney, 23, of Whitehall died on Wednesday, August 13, 2014, in Winona, MN. Cody was born on June 13, 1991, in Arcadia.
Cody was going to be starting his senior year at Winona State University. He played baseball in high school. He loved to fish and hunt with his best friend, his Dad, Mike Wozney, going to Green Bay Packer games and spending time on their hunting land.
Cody is survived by his parents: Michael and Stacey (Cartrette) Wozney of Whitehall, grandmothers: Darlene Wozney of La Crosse, Betty Cartrette of Whitehall, sisters: Jessica (Lucas) Aasum of Whitehall, Jacey Jane Soto of Whitehall, Jenna (Casey) Casella of Ettrick; brother: Jamie Rieck of Black River Falls; great-grandfather: Pete Mish of Independence, nieces and a nephew, many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jill Wozney; grandfathers: Bernard Wozney, Bert Cartrette; great-grandmother Victoria Mish; and nephew Eldon Kamrowski.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2014, at 7:30 PM at the Wozney-Killian Funeral Home in Arcadia. Friends and family may call on Saturday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Private burial will be in St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery in rural Arcadia.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.
